“Peace comes through the demonstration and practice of genuine love — a love that must exist among us.”
For there to be peace, love must first exist among us.
We can carry weapons to suppress evil, enforce laws, and build systems of security — but if we do not make it our daily commitment to live in love and in genuine respect toward one another, we will never achieve the peace we so desperately seek in this world.
Equally, if we speak of peace with our mouths while quietly deceiving, cheating, or taking advantage of others, peace will continue to elude us. How can peace prevail in a world where the very people calling for it are undermining it behind closed doors?
For peace to truly be seen and felt, love and respect must be fully and consistently demonstrated — by all of us.
But for love to be fully demonstrated, there must be sacrifice. And some of those sacrifices will be costly. We must be prepared for that.
We must not be proud or self-centred. Sometimes we must place the interests of others above our own — because a world where everyone only fights for themselves will always produce factions, misunderstandings, and conflict. That path leads away from peace, not toward it.
When we speak of genuine love, we are talking about a love that is willing to lay itself down for others. And so the question each of us must honestly ask ourselves is this: Do I truly care about people — or do I only care about myself?
Do your interests consistently come before the interests of those around you? The number of people in this world who can answer that question honestly — and then act on it — will reveal just how many people are truly prepared to walk in unconditional love.
We will never see lasting peace in this world while we continue to insult, demean, and disrespect one another. Peace becomes possible only when we choose to speak with kindness to all those around us. We must understand that they are our brothers and sisters — formed by the same Maker, loved by the same God, and created uniquely to reflect a distinct aspect of His glory.
If the majority of the world cannot arrive at this understanding — cannot genuinely answer these questions correctly and act accordingly — then we must conclude that the world will remain in a state of devastation. War will never be far from us.
But if the majority does arrive at this place — if people truly understand that they should not treat others in ways they themselves would not wish to be treated, and if they act on that conviction as a deeply held belief — then the walls of this world will grow calm. The light that was always meant to shine over these nations will finally be allowed in.
In short, we must walk in love by honouring and respecting one another — so that we can fulfil the shared vision of seeing light, life, and lasting calm within our nations and across the length and breadth of our world.
Understand this: the world is waiting to be loved. It is weary of hatred. It is tired of evil running unchecked through it. And when I say the world, I mean everything within it — the earth, the natural order, every living and silent thing — because the way we treat each other is reflected in the way we treat everything around us.
For far too long, even the silent, peaceful elements of creation around us have known no peace — because we have destroyed enough of them. Their suffering is real, even if their cries cannot be heard.
True love must be demonstrated. It must show up in continuous, genuine sacrifice — given freely, with no strings attached and no hidden agenda.
The world is waiting to be loved. And whether that happens depends entirely on each one of us. Peace can come — without the proliferation of weapons — if genuine love is elevated as our highest concern.
Love for one another. Together, we can achieve this.
It is a goal that lives in the heart.
Walk in genuine love, and together, let us boldly change the future of this world.
The way to peace is the way to genuine love and respect.
